About Us

Bricking It is a passion project by two lifelong LEGO® enthusiasts — Ryan and Steve — built because the tools we wanted didn't exist, and honestly, we were getting a bit stud-crazy searching for missing 1×2 plates.

The short version

We love LEGO®. We own a lot of sets. We've always struggled to know which pieces we actually have, which are missing, and which are sitting in a loose-piece bin waiting to be reunited with the set they came from. Spreadsheets got us some of the way. BrickLink got us further. Neither felt joyful.

So we built the thing we wished existed: a brutalist, no-nonsense set sorter that treats each set as a living thing — sort it, complete it, share it, find its missing pieces across your other sets, export the rest to BrickLink in two clicks.

Who it's for

  • AFOLs with more sets than space.
  • Parents trying to audit the chaos after a birthday.
  • Collectors who want to track completeness at a glance.
  • Resellers who need a clean BrickLink-compatible export.
  • Anyone who has ever said "I know that piece came from somewhere" and been defeated.

What makes it different

  • Multi-copy sets — because sometimes you really do own three Millennium Falcons.
  • Cross-set piece finder — find that missing piece hiding in another of your sets.
  • Group audits — sort several sets at once when they've all ended up in the same bin.
  • Minifig piece-level audit — because minifigs shed bits.
  • BrickLink export — wanted list with colour in one click.
  • Public collections — share your shelf with a URL (more soon).

Thanks to

Rebrickable for the catalog data that powers every piece, set, and minifig in Bricking It. Without them, we'd still be brick-hunting blind.

The pictures of pieces and minifigures on our homepage are our own renders, made from the LDraw parts library, used under its CC BY 4.0 licence.
